I don't have an email address posted on the site because it simply isn't possible to personally respond to everyone who might like to correspond. (There are almost 15,000 "hits" by about 1,500 visitors to the site each day.) So in an effort to make it possible to hear from people who come to the site, I have set up a number of different "forms"—and I want to say a little about the purpose of each one.

But first, I want to provide a little background on what brought me to this point—which is a drastic change from the "early days" back in 1980 when James and I wrote our first book and "went public." Of course there was no Internet back then, but my phone number was listed in the phone book—and I received many phone calls from people who had just read our story and felt they "knew me" and wanted to talk personally. (I even received calls in the middle of the night and would sit in the floor by the bed, talking for hours.)

However, since I've now had the website for 10 years and reach such a wide audience, it's impossible to be personally available in the way I'd like—which is why I work so hard to have the site serve as a "clearinghouse" to provide you with as many resources as possible: a list for locating a therapist, information about BAN (Beyond Affairs Network), reviews of books by other authors, links to related sites, etc.—in addition to all the free information I post on the site.

Comment Form
This is a "general" form for sharing a brief comment.
None of the fields are required to be filled in, but if the comment calls for a response
and if the email box is filled in, we do make a one-time response.

Mailing List
This form is where you can put yourself on my mailing list.
As you can see, you can choose to be "added" to the list.
And if/when you want to be removed, you also "remove" yourself from the list.

Also, of course, I respond to anyone who:
      recommends a therapist
      schedules a telephone consultation
      orders any of the material we sell on the site
