Grow Up! How taking responsibility can make you a happy adult
by Frank Pittman
While this book is not specifically about marriage, it clearly makes the point that marriage is for grown-ups. For instance, one of the many blunt pronouncements is: "Marriage isn't supposed to make you happy; it is supposed to make you married."
One of the things I personally enjoyed about this book is the way you can actually "hear" Frank's voice in the way he writes. I first became familiar with his style of speaking when we shared a panel Keynote presentation at a professional conference. Both in public speaking, in private conversation, and in his writinghe has a distinctive "voice" with a no-nonsense message.
Those who like Frank Pittman's earlier book on affairs, "Private Lies," are likely to enjoy this one as well.
